We
go out of our way to completely satisfy every customer and
we will never allow anyone to lose their money with us! However,
a business relationship must be fair and contain minimized
risk for both parties, especially when something goes wrong!
We will happily repair or replace damaged or defective merchandise
under the conditions stated below.
We
warranty most inks, toners, drums, & printer supplies for
1-5 YEARS!
Our normal 3 Year Warranty covers all
refurbished printers as follows: For the first 90 days
failures are covered including shipping charges both ways
according to our defective policy. After 90 days the overall
warranty value is reduced by 3% per month (beginning on the 91st
day) for the remaining 33 months and no shipping charges
are included either way.

Any WARRANTY STATEMENT in an ITEM DESCRIPTION
OVERRIDES and SUPERCEDES anything in this section!
We
will happily repair or replace damaged or defective merchandise
under the following conditions:
1.
The item is covered under warranty, AND ISN'T EMPTY
or worn out early from heavy media use (envelope/cardstock printing)
or abused (such as label stuck in printer or on drum, etc.)
On our Extra Maximum supply items such as toner cartridges
we give a pro-rated credit if it is more than 1/2 empty and
we pay all shipping for supply item replacements indefinitely. However
we do not send advance replacements on any supply items unless
damaged in shipping.
2.
We fax or email you a prepaid shipping label to return the item
and send your replacement immediately upon receipt and inspection
in our warehouse. If you are down to your last cartridge,
you may pay for one and we will send two, allowing you to
use our prepaid label for the return after you receive fresh product.
You still agree that if you keep our item past 2 weeks, we
can bill your credit card and credit you when received in our warehouse.
3.
We authorize your credit card or you send us a PayPal payment and
we will ship one advanced replacement item immediately. Returns
must be "in transit" within 7 days after your replacement
is received. We cancel the payment immediately after the item is
inspected in our warehouse.
4.
You send the item to us your way and it is received and inspected
in our warehouse.
5.
If you mis-order, you are only responsible for the
inexpensive return shipping using our discounted label. If you over-order
or simply want to trade in supplies you no longer need, we give
full credit on our items towards any other items we sell
less shipping charges. Any buy back refunds issued 30 days after
transaction date will be minus shipping and charged a 15% restocking
and handling fee.
6.
If there is ever a claim for printer damage caused
by our product, we must be informed up front and initiate
the service call. Claims for any repairs not pre-authorized
by our owner or senior tech will be denied. The only way
we will ever be responsible for our products is if you
allow us to attempt to solve the problem first. (Not
to worry, we've never had a printer actually damaged
by our products ever!)
7.
110% Refund Guarantee will only be honored after one replacement
of a problem item. Shipping damage and once-in-a-while defectives
are inevitable in the imaging supplies business. We simply ask that
you give us one chance to correct the problem and if we fail
you twice we will give you 110% of your total purchase price including
shipping charges!!
You
NEVER have to worry about us not sending you
a replacement item once the defective has been returned
or you have made deposit for it - our reputation is
at stake - and our future success with you depends
on it! We want to keep you as a customer and obviously
we couldn't do that if we were flaky. (You
have recourse through credit card dispute, PayPal
or Ebay's fraud systems, and SquareTrade, but we have
nothing for recourse if our item is not returned.)

WARRANTY!
Failures of our Tektronix compatible products HAS
NEVER HAPPENED!
We are very happy to be able to offer this line
from one of the top compatible imaging suppliers
in the world. We have personally used the
Tektronix Phasers in the past and have seen the
poor quality and problems associated with compatible
ink sticks. Based on our past experience we
would never sell compatible ink sticks for these
printers until we found our present supplier.
After
talking with our rep extensively and seeing this
outstanding warranty, we were willing to offer these
to our customers again with peace of mind. The
last thing we ever want is to sell a product
that does not perform at least as well as
the OEM. When my rep said he has sold over 100,000
boxes of these inks each month with only one
service call in over a year we are giving it
another shot. Please
Remove your OEM
cartridges immediately upon receipt of the aftermarket
product so you have something to go back to if you
are not satisfied with these, OR if you have a technician
coming over for some reason. They are TRAINED to
tell you these don't work, and blame every single
problem imaginable on these, even PAPER JAMS....LOL.
On ink sticks, remove all FULL blocks before
installing the aftermarket, leave the partials.
That way you can determine if there is going
to be a problem, and you will notice it immediately.
If you are not satisfied with the quality
remove our product immediately and send it back
for a refund. Don't take chances if you see something
wrong, Tektronix printers are too expensive to
repair, in most cases the cost of repair exceeds
the value of the machine!
ALSO
MEDIA (paper brand) is
the Number 1 cause of issues with these machines.
IF you are going to print with WAX you must
be willing to experiment with different paper brands
and pay the money for paper that is actually
compatible with XEROX PHASER PRINTERS!!

In
the event of a problem with a Tektronix Printer, there
are some conditions which must apply:
The
warranty is offered by the Manufacturer of the ink
products, not printersmith.com or any of its subsidiaries.
If there is a warranty claim, we will contact the manufacturer
to set up a service call for you and they will take it from
there. After the claim is set up, we ask you to communicate
with them directly about the matter. If they determine the
printer issue is not a result of their products, printersmith.com
will not be liable beyond 110% of the cost of the product,
but will still provide replacement or refund.
If
your machine is worn out, or has never been
serviced, you must be reasonable and fair with any
warranty claims. If your machine has over 50,000
prints on it, you should expect that normal wear
and tear can necessitate a variety of component
replacements such as fusers, printheads, transfer
assemblies, etc. Please do not always expect
a free warranty replacement if you have never replaced
the item that happens to fail when using our resold
product. The certified technician will determine
if the component has failed prematurely and
his decision is final.
IF
YOU FEEL that
you are just getting the "cop out" from
the tech, we will on a case-by-case basis take it
from there to provide you warranty coverage directly.
Again, it must be related to the ink
sticks, paper jams, and memory failures, and other
non-related causes won't be honored. Further you
must agree exclusively to USE OUR PRODUCTS, if
you are running our inks next to Media Sciences
or some other brand, then we probably won't be able
to help you. It is extremely important to use
ALL THE SAME inks at the same time. Ours mix
well with OEM Xerox Brand, but if your colors are
off, adjust them and be patient until you are running
all 4 colors of the aftermarket before your
colors will balance out perfectly.
